Cat supplies & accessories include cat food to cat litter, cat carrier baskets to cat flaps, cats’ toys to scratch pads for cats and much more. Their extreme sense of cleanliness makes them ideal as room-mates. (I once had a cat that used to clean his teeth with his claws after a meal.) If we provide a litter-box, they will use it. Otherwise they must have freedom to go outside. Don’t blame the cat if you do not provide these essentials. You would act no differently if you were shut up without appropriate facilities.

Litter boxes and cat litter, cat beds and dens, cat fountains for fresh water, food bowls, as well as carrier baskets, protective nets (especially useful for balconies), cat flaps and doors, collars, flea and tick protection, cats’ grass and catnip, special cat foods, including anti-hairball supplements, vitamins, cats’ toys are all useful accessories that make life easier for your cat and for you. Cats can usually defend themselves when it comes to confrontations with other animals, but they must be able to use the weapons nature has given them: claws and teeth. They will keep their claws sharp and short by scratching rough objects. This will usually be the bark of a tree, but if your cat is confined indoors, he must have a surface to scratch. Unless you want your furniture ruined, provide a scratch pad or a scratch pole.
